If searching for a therapy clinic offering Yoga, BodyMED Rehabilitation Centre is now proud to offer our exclusive YogaMED program. This is a medically-supervised, one-on-one yoga practice conducted by our resident Yoga Alliance Certified instructor. YogaMED is designed as a complimentary component for any patient accessing care at BodyMED during their active rehabilitation. Supervised by our health professionals, this is the perfect opportunity to be introduced to yoga in a friendly and safe environment. Learn valuable postures and workouts customized to your body’s needs and fitness goals.
Yoga has been proven as a positive treatment in many ways: reduce blood pressure; cope with stress and anxiety; alleviate chronic pain (lower back, shoulder and knees); and encourage rehabilitation from injuries such as muscle strains to ACL tears. Yoga is also a powerful addition to any regular fitness program and is used by many different pro level athletes and teams to increase flexibility, range of motion, and maintain their overall fitness and recovery.
Yoga can be practiced by anyone and everyone, and it is the goal of YogaMED to provide customized programs that suit the individual needs of all our patients.
